Data sources & provenance
Important inputs used by GRYPS, with source, date accessed, data type, and how the prototype uses each record. Provenance makes assessments reproducible and credible.
GRYPS is an experimental research prototype. Results are indicative and should not be interpreted as commercial procurement advice, coverage certification, or engineering advice.
Deterministic Signature engine
- Source
- GRYPS R&D — Model v0.4 scoring rules (Site Conditions + Mitigation Quality: redundancy, provider/path independence, profile–autonomy alignment, hard caps) →
- Date accessed
- 2026-10-13
- Data type
- Internal research model / reproducible algorithm
- How GRYPS uses it
- Produces the 0–100 Resilience Signature, grade, risks, and ranked options. Optional AI-assisted interpretation never changes these numbers.
Providers (catalog confidence)
- Source
- GRYPS curated public-knowledge index — no commercial relationships with listed operators →
- Date accessed
- 2026-09-11
- Data type
- Editorial catalog / research heuristic
- How GRYPS uses it
- Supplies orbital class and catalog confidence for provider confidence scoring and recommendation ranking. Confidence = assessment/data basis, not availability %.
EU-DEM terrain elevation
- Source
- Copernicus / EEA EU-DEM via OpenTopoData — EU-funded Copernicus data and information
- Date accessed
- 2026-09 (on-demand per assessment)
- Data type
- Digital elevation model (~25 m)
- How GRYPS uses it
- Shown as separate terrain evidence (elevation / variance). Not blended into the 0–100 Signature score.
- License / terms
- Copernicus / EEA terms
Bittimittari broadband measurements
- Source
- Traficom (Finland) Bittimittari municipality aggregates
- Date accessed
- 2026 — seeded Finnish municipality sites
- Data type
- Public measurement aggregates (download / latency)
- How GRYPS uses it
- Reference evidence for Finnish seeded sites only. Not applied to ad-hoc Nordic coordinates; not blended into the Signature score.
- License / terms
- CC BY 4.0
Orbital-class latency & geometry
- Source
- Public industry / orbital-mechanics conventions (LEO / MEO / GEO design-class bands) →
- Date accessed
- 2026-09-11
- Data type
- Static reference commentary
- How GRYPS uses it
- Labels typical latency and elevation characteristics on options. Not site measurements or provider SLAs.
Research Library assessments
- Source
- GRYPS curated Connectivity Intelligence assessments (examples + seed sites) →
- Date accessed
- 2026-09-11
- Data type
- Illustrative research scenarios with real coordinates
- How GRYPS uses it
- Public research portfolio. Same Model v0.4 engine as the Advisor — not customer cases or live RF monitoring.
