GRYPS · ASSUMPTIONS · GRYPS Methodology v0.6
Assumptions
What the research model takes as given when producing a Resilience Signature. Making assumptions explicit is part of prototype research quality.
GRYPS is an experimental research prototype. Results are indicative and should not be interpreted as commercial procurement advice, coverage certification, or engineering advice.
- Clear sky-view and correct antenna installation are assumed unless contradicted by separate terrain evidence.
- Provider catalog confidence is a research heuristic, not a measured site availability rate or SLA.
- Coordinates are interpreted inside the Nordic / Arctic / Iceland research envelope (approximately lat 55–85°, lng −30–40°).
- Mission priorities re-rank recommendations only; they do not change the Signature score.
- Optional language-model text may polish the recommendation paragraph only — never score, grade, risks, or ranks.
- Orbital-class latency bands are design-class reference values, not live telemetry for a named site.
- Research Library and mission scenarios are illustrative operating profiles, not customer projects or procurement dossiers.
- Local RF interference is not modeled; significant EMI requires an on-site RF survey. Space-weather effects (e.g. polar cap absorption, geomagnetic storms) are out of scope for the deterministic Signature.
