GRYPS · LIMITATIONS · GRYPS Methodology v0.6
Limitations
Explicit limits are a strength of a research prototype. They keep GRYPS honest as Connectivity Intelligence for learning and portfolio demonstration — not a commercial coverage product.
GRYPS is an experimental research prototype. Results are indicative and should not be interpreted as commercial procurement advice, coverage certification, or engineering advice.
Stating what GRYPS is not makes the work more credible, not less.
- GRYPS is an experimental research prototype. Results are indicative and should not be interpreted as commercial procurement advice, coverage certification, or engineering advice.
- Not a substitute for an on-site RF / sky-view survey or professional connectivity engineering.
- Not live constellation telemetry, outage feeds, congestion simulation, or a coverage SLA.
- Not insurance, certification, legal advice (including NIS2/CER), or a commercial brokerage of terminals or airtime.
- EU-DEM terrain and Bittimittari (Finland) are shown separately and are not blended into the Signature score.
- Local RF interference is not modeled; significant EMI requires an on-site RF survey. Space-weather effects on HF/satcom at high latitude are not scored.
- Research Workspace saves assessments in the local browser only — not a cloud customer account or CRM.
- Non-commercial R&D: no company, no revenue, not for sale.
